" My car was recently hit in a parking lot and the driver had left the scene. Fortunately, someone had taken down the drivers license plate and left me a note on my car. I went home and immediately logged on and looked up the drivers address, I then crossed referenced the address to the phone number. I phoned the police and gave them the details. Two hours later I received a call from a detective who told me they had located the car and driver on a nearby freeway.
